Hi Lisa, this may sound really strange, but bear with me. I’m a creative professional and use Getty Images quite a bit. I did a search for “retro birthday” and came across a photo you submitted of a 60s era woman with cat’s eyes glasses. I was quite shocked as it looked exactly like my Mom, or her twin Sister. I sent it to my Mom and she said it looked more like her twin, and her twin sister said it looked very much like her and she had the same glasses and blouse when she was that age. I looked at the other images of the same woman, and it’s not my aunt, but the similarity is uncanny. My grandfather had multiple families in his lifetime, some of them still unknown to my Mom’s family. I imagine the family in those photos are relatives? Are you Australian, by any chance? Strangely enough, my aunt is a moderately celebrated quilter Australia and has been featured in a few magazines. Anyway, please get in touch with me as I live in Toronto, another strange coincidence in this small, small world.
