Learning to Fly (Drones) and Creating Videos

My friend Barry earned his Basic, Advanced and Flight Reviewer ratings from Transport Canada over the past couple years. He is available for drone photography and videography commissions, drone lessons, and Advanced Level Flight Reviews. He is currently teaching me to fly his DJI Mini 3 Pro and DJI Neo2 drones.

He has loaned me the DJI Neo2. I practiced with it on a ride in Bramalea and around Professors Lake a couple weeks ago. Last week Michael and I, and Cindy and Mark, took the GO Train to Toronto for a ride and lunch. I took the DJI Neo2 with me and the others were very patient as I sent it up to record eight times. It is a “Follow me” drone which responds to hand gestures.

The videos ranged in length from about one to sevens minutes. I used Shotcut, a free, open source video editor to put together a short video of our day, accompanied by AI Generated music I created using Suno, which has limited free music creation. These were both suggested by Barry. He has been a great resource. This is Barry’s YouTube Channel.

Here is my video. I hope you enjoy it.

Here is a slideshow of some of the images I have taken with the DJI Mini 3 Pro. My house is in the third one.
