Europe 2026 – Day 23 – Amsterdam to Toronto

An overnight train made up an hour’s delay arriving in Amsterdam on time. We spent our final day exploring the city before flying home. Highlights included cycling-friendly and clean streets, historic landmarks, and the Sex Museum. A rain shower sent us to the airport, where an uneventful journey home ended with a minor vehicle breakdown and a rescue by Cindy.

Europe 2026 – Day 14 – Amsterdam to Wroclaw

We packed up, said goodbye to friends, and took a canal tour highlighting Amsterdam’s iconic sites, including the Dancing Houses and Magere Brug. After coffee at a historic pub, we stored luggage, visited the Holocaust memorial, and caught a packed train to Schiphol before an uneventful flight to Wroclaw, arriving late.

Europe 2026 – Day 1 & 2 – Toronto to Amsterdam

We arrived at the airport together, checked bags quickly, and watched a brief sunset before boarding. On the flight, I monitored ventilation, slept unusually well, and woke to a disappointing breakfast. In Amsterdam, efficient transit, bicycles everywhere, a welcoming hotel, and a peaceful walk set the tone for our trip with plans for a museum tomorrow.
